Won't data make my design work less creative?
In short, no. Putting restraints on the work actually forces us to be MORE creative, because our options our limited. To really solve problems with constraints, we become UX MacGyvers - finding the right pieces with our limited supply to save the day.
How do I convince my boss to cover the cost for professional development?
We made a downloadable cheatsheet to guide the conversation with your boss, for exactly this purpose. This course will provide longer value than most conferences, so we think it's a no brainer!
How do I get access to data at my company?
This is a tough one, because I don't control your processes, access, and firewalls. However, I recommend talking to your stakeholders, as well as people on the dev team who can help you install analytics tracking codes. In the course, I cover some effective methods for getting data tracking set up.
I don't have the time to collect data. How will this course help me?
Here's the thing - if you never start collecting data, you'll never be able to start ramping up its use. The good thing is that as soon as you start collecting data, even if you aren't using it at that time, the data will be there. That means that when you do have a second to breathe, you can go in and grab the data, instead of having to wait months to collect data at that time. And because this course is lifetime access, getting it now means you have it, for the lowest price, when you are ready.
I don't know how to get the data I need. Is this going to be doable for me?
Yes, definitely! I've focused on making each module and lesson short and actionable, so that you can take one small step each time you are ready. And I've taken into account the time and process constraints UX designers face, so the course will work nicely with your existing workflow.
How will I know what's statistically significant?
Good news! I cover this in depth in my course. The short answer is that statistical significance is not the only, nor the most important thing to consider when collecting and analyzing data.
What happens when the analytics software updates?
We know that this can happen, especially with Google Analytics! We already have processes in place to track any updates to the softwares included in our course, and will update all course materials within 1 - 3 weeks of a relevant software update.
